Professional teleconferences in Slican systems

Slican offers advanced teleconferencing systems, which until now were available only in large-scale and expensive telecommunications systems.

CXS-0424, CCT-1668/IP and MAC-6400 systems are equipped by default in conferences. So conference can also benefit users of small and medium-sized PABXes - starting from 12 subscribers. Conferences in Slican systems are available for both extension as external numbers – including GSM and VoIP subscribers. Only requirement is purchasing license for appropriate conference participants.
Conferences may be organized as:

• Conference group
• Conference room
• Private conference

Originator of conference may establish conference call and do not take part in that conversation. Number of participants in the conference and number of simultaneous conferences.

Server resources are allocated dynamically – for example in MAC-6400 – at once may be established 6 conferences with up to 5 participants or one conference with 10 participants and one with 20 participants. Conference do not blocks traditional 3PTY connections. It means, that in MAC-6400 for example may be crated 2 conferences with 10 participant in each one and additionally 3 3PTY connections.

Conference types

Conference group

• Conference group is solution for subscribers which take part in regular conferences, organized with the same participants, with only small modification in group (every week, every morning, on the same time etc.). Predefined “conference group” makes regular conferencing easier and speeds group work.
• Participants of conference group are predefined in ConfigMAN application.
• If caller of conference group uses Slican CTS-202 or CTS-102.CL* system phone he may define conference participants, change them before and during conference (irrespective of predefined in ConfigMAN group).
• User of CTS-202 or CTS-102.CL* has status of conference manager.
• To conference group may be assigned extension number.
• If group has its own extension number, originator of conference may be equipped also analog phone.
• Participants of conference may be both – companies extension numbers and external numbers.
• For conference connections are valid call forwarding “when no answer” and “unconditional”.
• There is possibility to repeat calls to participants which are not on.

Conference room

• The solution for dispersed organizations, departments, etc. - anywhere where it is important frequent and regular exchange of thoughts.
• Defined "conference room" is a virtual meeting place, and its use requires only a single programming of number to which all participants may call.
• Participants may be both - internal extension number and external numbers - including VoIP and GSM.
• Conference is establish by „dialing/entering to ” conference room.
• There may be defined PIN code, which will authorize conference participants.
• Participants listed in ConfigMAN may enter „conference room” without PIN code – they are registered according to their CLIP.
• To manager conference it is required to previously define conference room manager (extension number).

Private conference

• May be realized by every Slican system phone CTS-202 or CTS-102.CL* user.
• Conference participants may be both – internal extension number and external numbers – including VoIP and GSM.
• Originator of conference becomes automatically its manager.
• Adding of “private conference” participants may be realized in 2 ways:
  • by adding another participant into conference list - before upringing to all the participants of private conference,
  • after upringing - dynamic adding to conference.

Conference custodian function

Custodian of conference manages conferences in Slican communications systems. Managing is possible only with Slican CTS-202 or CTS-102.CL* system phones.

Conference custodian ability

Setting of conference („on cold”)

• Establish of private conference - defining participants list.
• Establish of conference group with predefined participants.
• Adding to conference group new participant.
• Delete participant from conference group.

During conference („on hot”)

• Monitoring of number of conference participants, together with their status (available, busy, etc.)
• Adding to current conference new participant.
• Finishing conference.
• Switching off the audio signal of described conference participant.
• Assigning function “Speak now” to specified participant – rest participants are muted.
• Speaking up (Taking floor).
• Temporary private conversation with one conference participant.
• Conversion of usual call into conference call.
